Howdy hey! Thanks for checking out my blog, Side Chick! First, I want to make it clear that this is NOT a blog about being a “side chick.” I named my blog side chick because that is precisely the role it plays in my life. I am not a blogger (yet!), this is not my career. It is a side project, an accessory to my every day life. Thus, it is my side chick!
My name is Sierra and I started this blog back in August of 2016 because I couldn’t seem to find a blog that checked all my boxes. I decided to create my own! This blog is a smattering of stuff and things. I post about everything from recipes I am trying out to gender identity. I use this blog as a vehicle for what is going on inside my head. All of the opinions expressed on this blog are my own. I promise to present multiple sides of things/issues/musings.
I currently live in Washington D.C. and attend graduate school at George Washington University. I identify as a lesbian and prefer the pronouns she/her/hers. I am a self-proclaimed tomboy and a person of color (half Pakistani, half white). Although I do not enjoy being out of my comfort zone, those experiences are always the most memorable and worthwhile to me. I enjoy traveling, learning new things, playing/watching sports, cooking, drinking craft beer, hiking, camping, and going to music festivals/concerts. I am an animal lover, a tree hugger, and a feminist. I am an INFJ and a Libra. I will share more tidbits about myself throughout my blog posts.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog, thanks for stopping by!
